Arkansas entertainers induction today
The Arkansas Entertainers Hall of Fame, One Convention Center Plaza, Pine Bluff, is open year round and holds exhibits of inductee’s personal career memorabilia.
The next induction ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. today. Inductees honored at this induction ceremony will be: Gail Davis, Sonny Burgess and The Pacers, Gil Gerard, Laurence Luckinbill, Jack Mitchell, B. J. Sams, Sarah Tackett and Beth Brickell. Cave tours offered
Dripstone Trail Tours are offered at Blanchard Springs Caverns through March 31, 2008.
The one-hour walking tour explores the upper level of Blanchard Springs Caverns in constant 58 degree temperature.
Visitors tour two huge rooms filled with awesome sparkling calcite formations. An educational movie and new exhibit hall clarify the underground wonders. Open year round; tours offered periodically, Wednesdays-Sundays, from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Days. Santa Shack set to open Nov. 23 in Cabot
Cabot City Beautiful announces its 11th annual Santa Shack at Cabot Wal-Mart Friday, Nov. 23 to Saturday, Dec. 23. Bring the kids to see Santa Claus to tell him what they’d like for Christmas. There well be free candy canes for every child and photos will be available. Santa will be there Fridays at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays at 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Cancer support team will meet today
Care Cap Connections cancer support teams will meet today at Little Rock Air Force Base in Jacksonville to knit more garments for balding women and children undergoing chemotherapy.
The meeting will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Deliveries of free care caps are made monthly to 16 major cancer centers. Interested women and men are invited to join the support team. Tasks include cutting, ironing, pinning, sewing and packaging the colorful head coverings.
