Annual awards to be held Feb. 3
The Little Rock AFB 2006 Annual Awards banquet will be held, Feb. 3. Social hour begins at 5 p.m.
Dinner begins at 6 p.m. Attire is as follows: Military: Mess dress/semi-formal. Civilian: Black tie/business suit, cocktail dress, pants. Beef tenderloin and chicken combo will be served.
Cost is $26 for club members and $28 for non-club members.
Contact unit reps to purchase tickets no later than Jan. 26.
Several retirement ceremonies slated
• A retirement ceremony will be held at 11 a.m., today at the LRAFB Conference Center for Master Sergeant Timothy Faull. He is the retiring first sergeant of the 314th Operations Support Squadron.
• Chief Master Sergeant Ricky C. Gehris, 314 Operations Group superintendent, will be retiring Jan. 26; completing 30 years of dedicated service. The ceremony will take place at 3 p.m. at the Little Rock AFB Conference Center.
• Retirement ceremonies are slated for the following Air National Guard members.;
Chief Master Sgt. Sam Chamberlain, 154th Training Squadron, retires at a 2 p.m. ceremony Feb. 3 in Building 118.
Senior Master Sgt. Bruce Lucas, 189th Airlift Wing, retires at a 10 a.m. ceremony Feb. 3 in Building 103.
Chief Master Sgt. Floyd Ricks, 189th Mission Support Flight, retires at a 1 p.m. ceremony Feb. 4 in Building 118.
AA meetings set
AA meeting, “Brown Bag Lunch Meeting” will be held Monday through Friday at the LRAFB Chapel annex, next to the TLF, downstairs room #106, from noon to 1 p.m.
The first meeting will be Monday, Jan. 29. If you a have a desire to stop drinking, then you are welcome. Please call 888-842-7555, if you have questions.
AFSA meeting Jan. 25
AFSA will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 25 to elect 2007 officers.
The election is open to all AFSA members.
As a reminder, there will be a drawing for a free membership to any Senior Airman or below who is not already a member.
AFSA Chapter 658 Officer positions are: President, Vice President, Ways and Means Trustee, Membership Trustee: Legislative Trustee, Programs Trustee, Publicity/Awards Trustee.
Coordinators, members sought
The Military Equal Opportunity Office is looking for program coordinators and committee members for the 2007 Women’s History Month Observance, March 1-31.
Meetings will be held at 11:30 a.m. each Wednesday in the MEO classroom (bldg 842, behind the education bldg). Bring lunch.
