Team Little Rock leadership officially kicked off the Combined Federal Campaign initiative Oct. 1, at Little Rock Air Force Base. The campaign runs through Dec. 15, and the Team Little Rock goal is to raise $189,000 in funds.

The Office of Personnel Management states that the mission of the CFC is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.

This means that donating to even one of the many official charities through the CFC program will benefit not only the recipients of the program, but also you as a donor. The program offers a hassle-free donation avenue for everyone participating in the charity campaign.

According to the OPM, the CFC is the world’s largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, raising millions of dollars each year. Since 1961, the CFC has raised $6.7 billion in charitable donations.

“Even if it’s a dollar a month, be part of something greater than yourself,” said Maj. Cataleya Carlson, Little Rock AFB CFC coordinator. “Give back to the community that supports you. I challenge each member of Team Little Rock to choose a cause, whether local or worldwide, and pledge to make a difference today. Give for good!”

Let’s make sure we do our part as Little Rock AFB promotes the CFC. Contact your CFC representative for a CFC charity list and pledge form. Leave your boot print in the community, get involved!
