New Urgent Care Pilot Program for Prime Beneficiaries
To increase access to care, the Department of Defense is launching an Urgent Care Pilot Program for TRICARE Prime beneficiaries. This program allows Prime enrollees two visits to a network or TRICARE authorized provider without a referral or prior authorization.
The Urgent Care Pilot Program, scheduled to begin this spring:
• Active Duty Family Members enrolled in TRICARE Prime or TRICARE Prime Remote
• Retirees and their family members who are enrolled in Prime within the 50 United States or the District of Columbia
• Active Duty Family Members enrolled in TRICARE Prime Remote and stationed overseas, but traveling stateside

Free DSST Retake for Eligible Military Members
Starting April 18, military service member students who do not pass their first DSST exam will be eligible for one free retake. Students will be able to take advantage of this promotion by providing a voucher code at the time of retest. The voucher code will be sent to students via email one to two days after taking the exam. Please note the DSST Public Speaking Exam is not applicable for the second shot promotion. Students taking this exam will not receive a voucher. Students will be able to take advantage of the promotion until May 31, 2016. As part of this limited time promotional offer, the standard wait period to retake a DSST exam has been reduced from 90-days to 30-days beginning April 18, 2016. Schedule exams at the Arkansas State University-Beebe office in Room 115 of the education center. For a list of Community College of the Air Force applicable exams are available on the education center’s SharePoint site.
TRICARE Nurse Advice Line for college students
TRICARE beneficiaries away at college who have a temperature or a sore throat and their doctor’s office is closed for the night now have another option for medical advice. The TRICARE’s Nurse Advice Line (NAL). The NAL gives TRICARE beneficiaries access to care, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With just one call beneficiaries can get expert advice from our team of registered nurses. They will answer urgent care questions, give health advice, help find a doctor and schedule a next-day appointment at a military hospital or clinic if available. Call the NAL at 1-800-TRICARE (874-2273) and select option 1.

The program is open to current students who are enrolled, or accepted for enrollment, on at least a half-time basis in an accredited educational institution. These intern positions are not to exceed 30 Sept 2016 at the Little Rock AFB Commissary. The salary range is $12.33 to $17.59 per hour.
2015 tax requirements
Available for tax year 2015 is another form in MyPay under Taxes, the IRS Form 1095. The Affordable Care Act signed into law March 23, 2010, requires all U.S. citizens and legal residents to obtain and maintain a minimum standard of health care insurance. For 2015, taxpayers are required to prove that they have obtained the minimum essential coverage, TRICARE qualifies for this coverage. Proof of coverage is the Department of Treasury Internal Revenue Service Form 1095: Employer Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage. Active duty, Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve, retiree and civilians will need to have the IRS Form 1095 to file their 2015 taxes.
Charles Clay ProCamp
Join Buffalo Bills star tight end and Little Rock native Charles Clay at the one-day Charles Clay Football ProCamp at Little Rock Central High School on May 7. Campers will participate in various fundamental football drills, races and games. The camp is free for boys and girls grades 1 - 8. There are 150 spots and sign-up is first come, first served. Sports safety class
Crash, Boom, Ouch sports safety classes will be held at 4:30 p.m April 20 and 27. at the Youth Center in Bldg. 940. Youth will learn safety while playing flag football, kick ball, baseball and ultimate Frisbee. Classes are free for Youth Center members and $2 for non-members.
Start Smart Registration
Registration is now underway for Start Smart sports for ages 3 – 5. The baseball and soccer leagues help children develop proper motor skills to help children succeed in youth sports. Cost is $30 for each league. Call 987-6355 for more information.
Military Child Month special
The bowling center celebrates military children in April by offering 50 cents per game and 50 cent shoe rentals for children under 18.
